Welcome to Sandside
Sandside sits just off the A6 in the village of Bolton le Sands, less than 5 miles from Lancaster and Morecambe and 15 miles from the Lake District. We have some of the best views you'll find anywhere in the North of England, with panoramic views of Morecambe Bay and the Lakeland fells.
We pride ourselves on being a quiet, peaceful holiday park, and we've been a family run business since 2001.
Pitches and caravans
We have static caravans, touring caravans, motorhomes and seasonal touring caravans. Pitches are limited in every area, so please get in touch to check availability. You can see our pitch fees on the price list. We don't have rental caravans on site and we no longer take tents.
All touring pitches are hard standing. 20 of them are super pitches, with electric, water and waste water at the pitch. Thinking of buying? Browse our caravans for sale.
Good to know
- Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads at all times.
- Commercial vehicles and vans are not permitted on site.
- Hobby caravans, or similar, are not permitted on site.
Facilities
The touring section has a clean, modern, heated toilet block with powerful showers, along with drinking water and washing up facilities. Take a look in the gallery.
The village of Bolton le Sands
The village has everything you'll need: a Co-op, a paper shop, a post office and 3 pubs. For food there's The Far Pavilion, an award winning Indian restaurant, the award winning Packet Bridge Chippy, and two excellent Chinese restaurants, Trungs and Rickies.
Sandside is also a great choice for train spotters. The West Coast Main Line runs close by and the local area has some excellent vantage points.
Why people stay with us
Sandside is small on purpose. There's no bar, no club and no entertainment, which is exactly why people choose it. Mornings start with the tide coming in and evenings end with the sun going down behind the bay. Lots of our touring guests came for a week, took a seasonal pitch the year after, and some went on to buy a static caravan. Read what they say on our reviews page.
It's a park for people who like walking, cycling, birdwatching, good pubs and a quiet night's sleep. Owners and seasonal tourers get to know each other, and as a family run park we know most of our guests by name.
